Who should I side with Ryujin? ›

Siding with Ularu also removes the Stealth requirement for any mission you later pick up on the Ryujin Industries mission board. Who you ultimately decide to side with depends on whether you're playing an ethical run or not and, if this is the case, then you'll want to side with Masako.

Siding With Imogene Is Morally Correct, But Siding With Ularu Has Its Benefits. Once the truth comes out, the most moral decision in Starfield's "Guilty Parties" is to side with Imogene. Despite accusations, she's not guilty of leaking anything, and simply needs a chance to prove her innocence.

Players should choose the faction questline in Starfield based on their play style and the rewards that will benefit them the most. The Ryujin Industries faction is ideal for stealth and persuasion builds, offering a fun questline centered around corporate espionage.

Tip: if you get caught, you can still complete the Sabotage mission by fighting your way through the Infinity building. The Ryujin Industries executives won't be thrilled about this, but it doesn't alter the storyline.

At the Syndicate hideout, we left Imogene alive and returned to Ryujin Tower. As you exit the elevator, you'll speak to Yuko again. You'll also have an optional objective to confront Ularu, so go to her office and do that. You'll soon get the opportunity to persuade Ularu to admit that she is the mole.

If you confront Ularu in her office, you'll be able to steer the conversation towards one of three possible outcomes: Kill Ularu: Show your loyalty to the current CEO Masoka by killing the mole, which becomes a bad outcome as Dalton then sends in guards to attack you.

You can also kill Imogene at the Syndicate Hideout, giving you her outfit and other time. There are no repercussions for killing Imogene, so you can opt for this ending if you want to. To complete the quest, tell Dalton that Imogene refused to cooperate, so you had to kill her.

Confront Imogene and let her defend her actions. Once she has finished, make the decision of whether to kill her or spare her life. This choice will not have significant consequences other than removing Imogene from the game or keeping her in. Players should note that Imogene is telling the truth and is not the mole.

Typically rewards for Ryujin Industries quests in Starfield include XP, Credits and Digipicks. You'll be given a suit at one point and the odd weapon or two. There are, however, a selection of exclusive rewards.

Your final mission in the Starfield Ryujin questline is to speak to all of the Executives, and convince them to either accept or reject the Infinity LTD takeover deal. You can also bring up Project Dominion, and sway them towards continuing or shelving that research.

How long is the Ryujin questline? ›

The Ryujin questline is, ironically, the long side questline in the game. But I completed every single quest in the game in 52 hours, much less 114 so I can't exactly give you an accurate assessment of how long it's gonna take you. A few days?

It's definitely worth doing though, especially as doing so will earn you access to the best Rune Farming location in the game, and one of the most interesting bosses, Mohg, the Lord of Blood.

Return to Dalton at Ryujin Tower

He'll tell you who the mole is (if you don't already know) and, if you're feeling extra spicy, you can tell him that Nyx took a look for himself. So, that's everything you need to know about completing the Starfield Background Checks mission with stealthy ease (or just about…).

If you're going for stealth, you'll find the hidden door near the staircase - directly after climbing the stairs, look to your right (see picture below). Blasting your way through Ryujin Industries is faster and arguably easier, but beware that Dalton won't be impressed by your methods if you choose to do so.

The Sabotage quest in Starfield is the penultimate mission for Ryujin Industries. Along this journey you've participated in corporate subterfuge, stealth missions to investigate a possible mole, and eliminating Ecliptic mercenaries.

When you talk to Yuko, she only inquires about your findings at the hideout. While this dialogue isn't critical to the mission, you can still complete this objective with some extra dialogue. If you had picked the recovery objective from Bayu, you must deliver Kuhimo's Slate to Bayu before you go to the Ryujin Towers.

You can get the Ryujin Lab Outfit by looting it off Engineers found on the Ryujin Tower's Research and Development floor located in Neon City. Note that you will get a bounty if you try to kill a Ryujin Engineer.
