The Starfield Sabotage mission is probably the most complex of all the Ryujin Industries missions thus far. Once again, you'll have to infiltrate a large corporation - but this time, it will be very difficult to figure out where to go.

If you need some guidance, especially if you're set on completing this mission in stealth mode, without casualties, this Starfield Sabotage mission walkthrough will help you out.

Sabotage Walkthrough

The Sabotage mission starts as soon as you've completed The Key Ingredient.

To find Dalton, take the elevator to the Executive Offices at Ryujin Industries, the same location as before. The conversation will differ depending on the choices you’ve made during the Guilty Parties mission, but you always have to attend the meeting afterwards.

When the meeting’s over, take the elevator to the Research and Development floor, where you need to speak with Veena. Take place on the operating table to get the operation started.

Speak to Veena again once the procedure is complete, then leave the room and walk up to the observation deck (to your right, upstairs). See Demarcus, the test subject, below? You need to use your scan, then select him with the interaction button. Use the interaction button again to choose “manipulation”.

While Demarcus is manipulated, hover over the keys on the nearby table and force him to pick them up, then hover over the door and make Demarcus open it.

Meet up with Veena and Demarcus afterwards, then take the elevator back to Masako’s office on the Executive floor.

Masako will propose two ways to infiltrate Infinity: either you sneak in through the roof, or you use a fake identity. Whichever you choose, you can still change the plan before you get there. You'll be given a fake ID along with an Operator Suit that makes you 25% harder to detect.

Depending on the choices you’ve made during Guilty Parties, you either need to visit Dalton or Ularu in their office, and then fast-travel to New Atlantis.

Use the transit car to go to the commercial district. The Infinity building is to your right. As Masako said, there are two ways to infiltrate the company:

  • You can use your fake ID and walk up to the front desk. This will take you to the marketing floor, where you need to sit down and wait until Aelys, the receptionist, leaves. You can then take the elevator to the roof access floor, where your mission continues.
  • You can walk around the building on the right side, then sneak inside through the side door (see picture below). Go all the way upstairs, cross the rooftop, and enter the door on the other side. This, too, will take you to the roof access floor.

To improve your stealth, put on the Operator Suit you were given. It's also best to leave your companion behind, as they may reveal themselves to the guards.

Whichever method you choose, you’ll be able to manipulate the nearby guard to turn off the fan, allowing you to drop down.

After doing so, turn left and you’ll find the maintenance system. Hack it (solve a Digipick puzzle) to turn on the heating system, allowing it to overheat.

Turning on the heat is an optional objective, but as it creates large clouds inside the building, it's a huge help if you're planning to use stealth.

Turn your back to the maintenance system and go through the vent in front of you, then drop down at the end. See the offices with the blue walls below you? Look for the office door as shown in the picture below. When the guard walks away from the door, drop down and solve the Digipick puzzle.

Tip: if you get caught, you can still complete the Sabotage mission by fighting your way through the Infinity building. The Ryujin Industries executives won’t be thrilled about this, but it doesn’t alter the storyline. You can still follow the route through the Sabotage mission as described here - just with a bit of added gunfire.

Once inside, do another Digipick puzzle to run the program on Lucas’ computer and complete the quest objective.

Next, sneak outside and jump over the small fence on your left, then walk over the beam towards your right, all the way across the office floors.

Go through the vent and drop down to the bathroom below you, then open the door and go left.

Use the gas and the side rooms to remain hidden from the guards.

Go through the large open door at the end of this area, and use manipulation on the guard there (see picture below).

When he runs away, turn left and go through the vent. Drop down until you’re right above the offices again. See the office with the birthday decorations nearby? Walk in that direction, then go right.

Walk right again, then left, and you’ll see the vent as shown in the picture below. Go through it and drop down the elevator shaft.

The next part is very important: you need to go through another vent to leave the shaft, and then jump across the hallway, landing on the pipes on the other side as shown in the picture below - beware that it's very dark. Exit sneak mode to make the jump easier – there shouldn’t be any guards looking this way.

Turn left and sneak a bit further, then jump across the hallway again. This will allow you to reach the vent shown in the picture below.

After dropping down through the hatch, turn right and go upstairs – the guards won’t spot you if you keep sneaking.

Faye’s computer is right ahead. Use it and click on the “overseer program” to complete the hack. Make sure you pick up the R&D ID Card on Faye’s desk as well.

Walk downstairs, then go through to door on the left, leading to the hallway shown below.

In the next room, on the right side, you’ll see a security door – you can open this door with your ID Card.

The Neuroamp Prototype is behind it, but don't grab it just yet! If you don’t wish to get caught, close the blinders on the right side of the room, then hack the security access on the left side. You can then safely get the Neuroamp.

Next, you can either return the way you came (through the vent), or find the staircase to your right (see picture below), walk up the platform, and sneak past the guard. Either way, you need to climb back up and walk over the large pipes again, which leads you back to the elevator.

Take the elevator back to the lobby, then leave the Infinity building. Next, you need to find David Barron in the SSNN building in front of you.

Follow the road to your right and you’ll find the entrance – David is waiting inside, just around the corner.

After your conversation with David, return to Masako at Ryujin Industries to complete the Sabotage mission. You’ll receive 7,000 credits, three med packs, and two Digipicks. You can now start the final Ryujin Industries mission: Executive Level.
