So, when should you start decorating for Valentine's Day? Well, we think a couple of weeks into January is the perfect time to cast the magic of the love season since it does get a bit gloomy and dark after you store away all those festive ornaments and holiday decorations.

Our master bedroom already had a few touches of blush pink, but I added a few Valentine's home decor touches as well. To up the Valentine's factor, I added a few pink throw pillows, one with gold hearts and pearl detail. I also added a pink vase to fill with fresh flowers and a pink candle.

The First Day of Advent

Typically, red stands for deep, undying romantic love, while pink can symbolize love for friends, children, family, and pets. So while you can get red roses for your one true love, pink roses will be a better choice for your best friend.

You can add pinks with towels, rugs, fresh flowers and art throughout your bathroom. If your bathroom mainly has neutral colours, then you can change the feel and look by adding floral curtains and new rugs. You can include a new shower curtain or use paintings depending on the size of your bathroom.

Install soft, layered lighting to create an intimate feel using table lamps with soft fabric shades, wall sconces, or a chandelier. Incorporate floral patterns, gauzy fabrics, rich velvets, and faux fur to add a romantic ambiance to your bedroom.
