More about the Letter “X”
TheXXXsymbol is sometimes used to identify (and censor) p*rnographic material. It has also been used to identify bottles of moonshine (indicating that the alcohol went through a three-step process during its distillation).
In mathematics,Xis used to indicate an unknown variable or value. When Wilhelm Roentgen discovered X-rays, he chose the letterXbecause it represented something unknown.
Xis also sometimes used to represent Christ. The use of “X-mas” can be traced back to the fourth century when the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great began using the “chi” symbol (similar toX).
