1. Red Velvet Pup Cakes
These are tasty and healthy pet safe Valentine’s Day dog treats for your best friend to enjoy. Topped with cream cheese frosting these pup cakes will be a hit! It only takes about 35 minutes in all to make and has a result of 48 mini cupcakes. You can half the recipe or save some for later. Here’s the ingredients and instructions. Ingredients:
Cupcakes-
- 1 Beet (about 3/4 cup worth)
- 3 Large Strawberries (about 1/4 cup worth)
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1/3 cup nonfat yogurt
- 2 cups oat flour
- 1/4 cup carob powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 eggs
Frosting-
- 3 tbsp nonfat yogurt
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 block Neufchatel nonfat cream cheese
- One tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup strawberries or blueberries (optional)
Instructions:
First things first, preheat your oven to 350.
Next dice up your beet and put them in your food processor. Then add the applesauce and yogurt along with it.
Blend them until smooth.
Add in the eggs and turn it on pulse until just mixed.
Then add in the dry ingredients until they seemed blended in.
Next get out mini cupcake pans and pour them in each place. Make sure there are no bubbles left.
Make sure the oven is done preheating then throw them in for 20 minutes. (You can make sure they are ready by sticking a toothpick in one of them and if it comes out clean it’s ready.)
Wait till the cupcakes are completely cooled before frosting them.
Frosting Time
Place your cream cheese and yogurt in your mixing bowl and set to medium till the batter seems fluffy.
Then blend in the cornstarch and vanilla.
Add your frosting mixture to a piping bag and swirl that icing on!
To add a little more decoration, you can take bits of dried fruits or dog treats and sprinkle them on top!
And voila, you have healthy and tasty festive treats to give your dog you love. They will scoop these pup cakes up in a second.
2. Conversation Hearts Dog Treats

Ingredients:
Cookies-
- 2 Cups Oat Flour
- 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
- 2 Tbsp Melted Coconut Oil
- 2 Eggs
- Natural Food Coloring
Decorating-
- Dog Treat Icing
- Food Pens
Instructions:
First go over to your oven and preheat it to 350.
Mix all the cookie ingredients together and divide the dough into four equal parts.
Add different preferred food coloring.
Roll out the four dough parts and cut them all into multiple tiny hearts. Doesn’t matter how many, that is up to how big you want the treats. Just make sure you have enough room to write how much you love them!
Get out some parchment lined cookie sheets and scatter your dough hearts on the paper.
Cook them for about 20 minutes. Make sure that the cookies are slightly brown at the bottom.
Make sure they are completely cooled before decorating.
Then you can decorate them all you want just read the directions on your dog icing!

3. Paw Print Paint

- Red, Pink, Light Pink Finger Paint
- Paper
- Frame (optional)
Directions:
It’s quite simple. Just think of those times your parents would want a painting of your hand or foot. Well, it’s that but with your dog!
First pour your paints into different piles and put your paper in front of you.
Next you need your dog. Bring them over.
Dip their left paw in the red paint and put it in the top left center. Then dip their right in the red paint again and place it right to the right of the one you just did. You want them to look centered at the top.
Repeat the last step but with the pink and place these paw prints in the middle, right in the center.
Last dip their paws in the light pink and center them at the bottom, right below the pink paw prints.
Now you have a cute Valentine’s Day themed painting that you can frame and hang up in your home, just showing how much you really love your doggie.
4. Conversation Heart Collar Charms

- Printable Shrink Film
- Split Rings
- Scissors
- Hole Puncher
- Printer
- Oven
- Cute and Colorful Saying of your choice
Directions:
First print some cute dog conversation hearts on the printable shrink film. You can also find groups of cute ones if you look up “dog conversation hearts” on google. Once you have some you like go ahead and print them out.
Now get your scissors and cut out the heart shaped sayings nice and neat.
Next take all the hearts you cut out and poke a closed hole at the center top with your hole puncher.
Next take your hearts and put them in the oven, baking them for however long it says on the shrink films instructions. You can either put them in on waxed paper or medium cardboard.
Once they are done take them out and flatten them down with some wax paper then wait for them to cool, they will be hot!
Once they are cooled then you can attach them onto your split rings or put them on your dog’s collar. Then your doggie will be rocking it this Valentine’s day!
You can also put one of these charms on a chain or accessory of yours.
5. Dog Ring Holder

- White Craft Paint
- Liquid Gilding Gold
- Adhesive
- Soft Paint Brush
- Small Foam Brush
- Small Dog Figurines
- Four Inch Clay Saucer
- Glitter Letters (optional)
Instructions:
First paint your entire clay saucer with several coats of white paint.
Next, we use the gold gilding to paint the saucers rim once completely dry. Along with the dog figurine of your choice. (I would prefer choosing whichever one looks most like your own dog.)
Now your basically done. All you do now is glue your dog onto the middle of the top of your saucer. Then if you would like you can add glitter words on to the saucer. Saying something like woof!, puppy love, or your dog’s name.
You dog will surely love your new fancy ring holder. You can set it on your dresser or anywhere you like and it will look wonderful. Just another great craft you can do to persuade your pup to be your Valentine!
6. Dog Kissing Booth

- Tri-fold Display Cardboard
- Three Pieces Foam Core Board
- Foam Rubber Pipe Insulation
- Glue
- Knife
- Foam Hearts
Instructions:
Now this craft is a bit harder than the others so make sure to read the steps carefully so you don’t mess up.
First glue each of the foam core board pieces to each side of the tri-fold cardboard display.
Next take your knife and cut a good enough sized square in the middle of the cardboard so your dog can stick their head through comfortably.
After that frame the square cut with foam rubber piping, with adhesive edges.
Now that you’ve got the main display up time to decorate. Glue your foam hearts all around your display. Then to top it off create a “Kissing Booth” sign. This will bring it all together. If you’d like, just for some extra creativity you can add a chalkboard to the side saying. “kisses .25 cents each.”
Now all you need is your smoochers. So, get your dog out there and snap some adorable picks as they wait to give out their slobbery kisses.
7. Cream Cheese Dog Biscuits
For our last Valentine’s day dog treats we are doing Cream Cheese Dog Biscuits for your dog. The food always seems to be their favorite part. These treats are round with a heart hole in the center and have a pink cream cheese filling. Recipe from sitstaylove.co.
General:
- Prep Time: 30 Minutes
- Cook Time: 10 – 15 Minutes
- Total Time: 40 – 45 Minutes
- Result: 16 Biscuit Sandwiches
Ingredients:
Biscuits-
- One Cup Brown Rice Flour
- 1/4 Cup Applesauce
- 1/4 Cup Water
- One Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
- One Egg
Frosting-
- Cream Cheese
- Beetroot powder (optional)
Directions:
First preheat your oven to 350 and get out a baking sheet.
Next beat your egg in a large mixing bowl then add applesauce, flour, coconut oil, and cinnamon. Blend all these ingredients together.
As you mix add in little bits of water occasionally. Continue this until you have a nice working dough that isn’t too sticky.
Now that you have your dough roll it out till you have it about 1/4 inches thick. Cut out the shapes of your choosing, either with cookie cutters or a knife. You can cut them out in original circle or square shapes.
Place them in the oven and set a timer for 10 – 15 minutes.
While you wait on that get out your cream cheese and beetroot powder. Mix the two ingredients together well. The powder will add the color to the cream cheese.
Now you wait till your biscuits are out of the oven and cooled. The you can either pipe your frosting in or just use a knife to stuff it in there.
The biscuits should be refrigerated, they are best when refrigerated for a few days.
